ANNOTATION: The Methods of Classroom Teaching. Teaching strategies are the methods the teacher employs to help students get the most out of their learning experience. Teaching methods are often divided into two broad categories: teacher-centred meth- ods (also called direct instruction) and learner-centred methods (also called indirect instruction or inquiry-based learning). An effective teacher knows several methods, some teacher-directed and others learner-directed.There is no “best” method of teaching.
