Annotation. The profession of translation has evolved significantly in recent years, driven by globalization and advances in technology. This article explores the modern landscape of translation as a profession, examining its current state, challenges, and opportunities. We analyze the impact of technological tools, the role of cultural nuances, and the ethical considerations that translators face. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative interviews with professional translators and quantitative analysis of industry trends. The findings highlight the increasing demand for specialized translation services and the importance of continuous professional development. The discussion delves into the implications of these trends for translators and the industry as a whole, offering conclusions and suggestions for future practice.
